USA: Detroit – Henry Ford Museum

Detroit in Michigan is aptly named ‘Motor City’ for its historical connections with the automotive industry. Here’s another historical connection with which you might not be so familiar. Edison’s last breath, the rocking chair in which Abraham Lincoln sat the night he was assassinated, an Allegheny locomotive built in 1941, more than a hundred cars, a parade of presidential limos and thousands of artifacts – all can be seen at the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit, the largest indoor-outdoor historical complex in the world.
